After a successful career as a senior executive at some of the world's largest and most successful corporations, Dr. Ron J. Ponder formed The Ponder Group. As a result of working with many of the leading consultancies, Dr. Ponder envisioned and founded a group providing consulting services based on the prospective, skills and experience of successful Chief Information Officers and Senior Executives.

The Ponder Group, while small, is comprised of a select group of experienced senior executives with extensive experience across several industries including: healthcare, transportation, logistics, financial services, information technology services and telecommunications. The group has been successful in both the public and private sectors helping companies and government agencies by:

• Developing and implementing multi-year information technology plans and implementation roadmaps that are fully aligned with the strategy and goals of the entity.
• Conducting assessments of major projects/programs and large development and outsourcing contracts resulting in recommendations with implementation plans to correct deficiencies. In many cases the Ponder Group has provided the leadership necessary to implement the recommendations.
• Providing interim leadership for projects/programs and/or information technologies that are troubled or require outside leadership to succeed. These engagements resulted in The Ponder Group not only providing required leadership but also assisting with the identification and hiring of new permanent leadership.
• Planning, designing and implementing comprehensive governance processes that ensure appropriate transparency, accountability and communication. On these engagements, the Ponder Group has provided the building blocks to allow for a more efficient and effective IT organization, ensuring that services are aligned with business objectives.
• Developing appropriate internal communication plans for all levels of a company/organization as well as highly focused external communications.
