Richard Osborne has more than thirty five years of experience in the healthcare industry. He has built a career in the payer market devising and implementing transformational strategies, processes and IT enablers.

During his career, Mr. Osborne has been a Partner and Payer practice leader with a Big 5 consulting firm. As an experienced executive, he has led teams creating organizational, marketing/sales and delivery strategies. He is a market-focused leader within, but not limited to, BlueCross and BlueShield Plans, their vendors and suppliers.

Mr. Osborne's professional accomplishments include:

Leadership – Mr. Osborne organized Ernst & Young's national BlueCross BlueShield market segment within its Health Insurance practice. He also led strategy development within hybrid healthcare products/solutions/ consulting company and created a model for increasing internal synergies, while establishing a "trusted advisor" reputation at client senior executive levels. Additionally, he devised "client swarming" sales and marketing strategies, maximizing internal resources investment within priority payer markets and clients, while enhancing extended sales opportunities. He also successfully led a four year $60 million claims system replacement project for the Federal Employee Benefits Program (FEP), under contract from the Federal Government and the BlueCross BlueShield Association (BCBSA).

Business Growth – Mr. Osborne established integrated sales and delivery models yielding a $100 million annual revenue payer business segment within a "Big 5" firm. He served as a key leader in developing a multi-market professional advisory group within a large healthcare technology company and established a professional advisory capability within onshore/ offshore IT vendors.

Relationship Development – Mr. Osborne has successfully created and maintained relationships with senior executives and Board members of health plans, commercial insurers and industry players. Relationship development and constant maintenance served(s) as the basis for career growth and tenure. In addition, he has effectively used knowledge, experience, gravitas and empathy to gain "trusted advisor" status with clients, and maintained relationships with a career-long group of former Partners, colleagues, staff, clients and subject-matter experts.

Mr. Osborne's professional experience has been at the most senior levels including a Senior Partner with Ernst & Young; a Principal with EDS Management Consulting Services; a Senior Vice President with Ingenix; and a Senior Consultant with Arthur D. Little.

Mr. Osborne has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Farleigh Dickinson University and a Master of Public Administration in Health Policy and Management from New York University.
