Tom Frazee is President & CEO with CommSol, Inc., a full-service, communications and public relations consulting company that specializes in providing strategic advice, executive counsel and tactical support on all aspects of internal and external communications.
CommSol, Inc. specializes in employee, shareholder and client/customer communications; local, regional and national media relations support; event oversight including video productions and Power Point presentations; roles as corporate spokesperson and executive speechwriter as well as communications focused on HR, marketing, transformation, revitalization, organization change, crisis management, merger/acquisition integration, corporate restructuring and downsizing initiatives.
Mr. Frazee has provided executive-level internal and external communications support to corporations such as ADC, Antenna Software, AT&T, Beechwood, Cap Gemini Group, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, CommTech, Custom Sensors & Technology, PepsiCo, WellPoint / Anthem and TeleComputing.
Prior to that, Mr. Frazee was a director in AT&T’s corporate public relations organization. In support of AT&T’s Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer, he managed a large, PR team that provided employee and corporate communications, media relations and speech writing support to this EVP, his senior leadership team, 20 Divisional CIOs and 40,000 Information Technology employees.
While with AT&T, Mr. Frazee also directed public relations teams in
support of other senior executives at the company’s headquarters location providing advice and internal and external communications support.
Coincident with the above responsibilities, Mr. Frazee established and directed a cross-company team of PR professionals to inform employees, shareholders, alliance partners, customers and the news media about AT&T’s progress in achieving Year 2000 (Y2K) compliance.
In addition, Mr. Frazee spent two years at AT&T Paradyne, a newly acquired company for AT&T, leading a start-up PR team that developed an aggressive, internal program to provide pertinent information about the new parent company to Paradyne employees. His team also promoted the abilities of this modem, router/brouter manufacturer to external audiences through aggressive marketing and media relations programs.
Before joining AT&T, at the divestiture of the Bell System in 1984, Mr. Frazee worked in Southwestern Bell’s corporate public relations organization at a number of locations across that company’s five state region.
Mr. Frazee held a variety of jobs with increasing responsibility in that company’s Public Relations organization as well as six years with Southwestern Bell’s sales organization, where he was a product manager, managed a Direct Marketing center and a telecommunications network and hardware sales manager.
Mr. Frazee has a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Following college, he served in the United States Navy as Operations Officer aboard the USS Pledge (MSO-492), with a tour of duty in Vietnam, and was the Communications and Intelligence Officer for Pacific Mine Flotilla Three.
